Conor Casey, who is about to join the US training camp for its upcoming friendly against Honduras, has reportedly been offered an improved contract from the Colorado Rapids, according to the blog, No Short Corners. The post states that the striker received an offer from a Turkish club and also has interest from a number of clubs in Germany where he already has some playing experience. Hence the willingness, presumably, of the Rapids upping his deal at DSG Park.

He probably deserves it in the long run and it is a good move for the team. I can't help but think that Casey looking elsewhere might have something in small part to do with the last practice of the year.
Interest or no interest, a smart move by the club. He's good enough to produce another 15+ goal season. Those sort of strikers aren't easy to find even for the MLS.
