Guerrero Goes

Press release from the Rapids: The Colorado Rapids announced today that a mutual agreement with defender/midfielder Ivan Guerrero has been reached that will terminate his contract with the team.
Guerrero was acquired by Colorado on February 9, 2009 in a trade with D.C. United.
A four-year MLS veteran, Guerrero had yet to see the field for the Rapids this season. For his career, he has played in 101 games with 97 starts and recorded four goals and 20 assists as a member of the Chicago Fire, San Jose Earthquakes and D.C. United.

Good work Nick, you got one right. For the second I am guessing O'Brien goes.

I think they'll get rid of him and Richardson. Getting rid of Guerrero so soon after signing him probably shows again how desperate they were to offload Christian Gomez.

Good thought, then again I was wondering why they even brought Gomez here to begin with. I guess it was a big name and hope for the season but was not worth giving up the DP spot, even though we got it back.

Saying that, Gomez wil probably play out of his socks on Saturday for DC. He is in good form this season.

That only scares me a little bit. It will be a tough game for whoever is assigned to him so to speak. With Pablo still gone will that fall to LaBrocca?
