Bouna Helping to Pay The Bills

Press release from the Colorado Rapids: The Colorado Rapids announced today the club acquired allocation money from the New York Red Bulls. In exchange, New York receives the MLS rights to goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul.
Coundoul played in 52 matches for the Rapids from 2005 to 2008 and registered 189 saves and posted a 1.16 goals against average finishing his career in Colorado with a 17-22-12 record.

This will be a welcome piece of business for the Rapids, giving them a bit more money as they seek to bolster their front line with a new striker among other possible moves (see earlier blogpost today). Good also to see former fan favorite, BounaTime!, making a welcome return to action. Maybe he will be playing back at DSG Park as early as July 25 when the Red Bulls come to town?
